Finally, Eco-Converts now have an electric concept car!
Ever since "Who Killed The Electric Car Trailer" film, I've wondered when the electric car would make a come back. Well, it looks like it has. The entire film can be viewed by clicking here.
This is the Toyota FT-EV Concept Car! Toyota's battery electric vehicle (BEV).
This is similar to the Toyota iQ, a microcar that is on sale in Japan and Europe. This version is white with gold and silver design accents and a flared front and rear. It has a lithium-ion battery, and will reach a top speed of 70 mph. (Just enough for a ticket eh?)
Are we beginning to see a wake-up call being answered by the auto industry with all those bail outs? Maybe? But just think how will Ford/GM catch up with advances of Toyota? The Chevy Volt is supposed to offer us an American alternative, but being manufactured in Aspern Austria has American's upset. May have to change it's name to the Chevy Re-Volt!?
As the economy drowns the good citizens of The United States of America with a STIMULUS plan (aka depression bill), it's hard to think about these advances igniting the market's fire once again.
It might just be easier to think about what color horse we want to pull the buggy? Maybe get some tricked out horse shoes and a matching bit! ;D
Well, keep your chin up! Maybe if we brought back all the production of these great vehicles into this country, we'd have a chance to swim!?
